What is it?

A blob composition arranges several organic shapes as layers at the corners and edges of a canvas. The result is a calm background for websites, slides and social posts that keeps the center free for text.

How it works

Pick a preset or press Space for new arrangements. For each blob, set position, offset, size and shape, move layers up or down and hide them. Colors are taken from your palette in order. Export as SVG, CSS or image.

What happens when I change the canvas size?
Positions are stored relative to the corners and edges, sizes relative to the shorter side. The composition adapts to every format, from square to wide banner.
How do I change the color of a single blob?
The top blob uses the first palette color, the second blob the second color and so on. Change the palette or reorder the blobs.
Does a blob keep its shape when I change the others?
Yes. Each shape depends only on its own shape variant, complexity and randomness. Use the lock to keep single values when you randomize.
How many blobs can I add?
Up to eight layers. Two to four usually make the calmest backgrounds.
