What is it?
Dieter Dots are dots arranged in concentric rings around the center, inspired by perforated speaker grilles in industrial design. The pattern feels technical and calm and suits posters, covers and product graphics.
How it works
Set the number of rings, the dots in the first ring and the ring spacing. Twist turns the rings into a spiral, shrink outwards fades the dots towards the edge. Choose one color, alternating rings or a gradient, then export as SVG, CSS or image.
Try the Dieter Dots nowFAQ
- Why do outer rings have more dots?
- Each ring gets as many dots as needed to keep the spacing along the ring equal to the first ring. Ring 3 has three times as many dots as ring 1.
- Why do I see fewer rings than I set?
- Rings outside the canvas are skipped, and we draw at most 10,000 dots per image to keep the browser responsive.
- Can I make a spiral?
- Yes. Increase the twist and each ring is rotated a bit further than the previous one.
